Celebrate the season of Advent with your kids with this bright and beautiful Advent Wreath Art Project! Great for ages 3-8.

Here is what we used:

Print the templates onto card stock. White card stock is a great surface to use dot markers or Kwik Stix on because the colors remain so bright and the paper holds up well to the paint. You could even paint these with glitter paint!

Since we used dot markers, we ended up using both types of purple (one regular violet and a lavender from the shimmer collection of dot markers) for a variety of shades that added visual interest, and the kids loved it!

​Set aside to dry for a few minutes before you cut.

Stack a few green paper squares (mine are cut into 6″ x 6″ squares), and draw an organic leaf shape filling a lot of the space. Cut the shape. Stacking the papers and cutting once saves a lot of time!

Using oil pastels or crayons, add veins or patterns to the leaves in bright colors.

Cut the candles and flames out and glue them to the black background first.

Then glue the leaves overlapping the candles slightly..

​That’s it!

And you’re left with bright and colorful (and shimmery!) Advent Wreath Art for Kids to celebrate the season with your little ones.
